General Admission tickets are valid for 8 weeks from the date of purchase and are non refundable. If you are purchasing tickets as a gift please select a Gift Voucher Instead. 

Gift Vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase, Change will not be given. 

ENCOUNTERS & TOURS

All bookings require full payment at the time of booking. Due to the limited nature of our encounters bookings are strictly non refundable. Participants on encounters must be over 6 years of age, and be able to climb stairs. Children between the ages of 6 -14 must be supervised by an adult participating in the encounter. Please ensure you are able to meet this condition before purchasing tickets. Encounters take place rain or shine in all but the most extreme weather conditions. All participants must wear enclosed shoes for the experience. Participants must not have handled birds within 48 hours of the encounter date, or suffer from any symptoms of illness (nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea) in the last 48 hours. You will not be able to participate in the experience if you are not wearing the correct clothing and shoes, and we will not be able to offer a rebook or refund if you are not wearing appropriate clothing and shoes. If you’d like to change the date of your Close Encounter you can let us know up to 14 days before you’re due to participate. Any change is subject to availability.

We are unable to provide kitchen facilities. Alcohol is not permitted to be served. Catering is provided for attending children only, platters for adults are additional. We cannot absolutely guarantee the absence of gluten or allergens within our catering. The primary contact will follow all instructions given by National Aquarium staff during the event. Confirmation of final numbers and names must be provided 48 hours prior to the start of the party. You will be charged for all attendees listed. For safety and animal welfare reasons we do not allow Piñatas or Balloons. Birthday cake candles only are permitted. National Aquarium staff will supervise the lighting of candles.  If you’d like to change the date of your birthhday party you can let us know up to 14 days before you’re due to participate. Any change is subject to availability.
