Get up close and personal with our world-famous Little Penguins. Learn all about the 'naughty' and 'good' penguins of the month, and take part in hand-feeding them in their enclosure! You'll get to experience what goes on behind the scenes, discovering all about the day-to-day care of these character-filled little birds. And you'll also learn about our rescue and rehabilitation centre here at the Aquarium. Minimum Age is 6 years. You must wear closed shoes and be able to climb stairs to participate in this encounter. Children 14 years and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Due to the limited number of spaces available tickets are strictly non refundable.
Focusing on New Zealand's native icons, we think a Native Icons Guided Tour is the best way to truly experience the Aquarium. You'll get a chance to view Kiwi in a purpose built Nocturnal House, have a close up look at a Kiwi egg, learn about the mysteries of the Tuatara before being introduced to our world famous Little Penguins. Get up close with this impressive squad of tiny turtles - you’ll be surprised at how quickly they can move.
